Founded in 2015, the PKU Guanghua School of Management Alumni Association of Eastern America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit registered in New York State. Centered on the mission of uniting alumni strength and supporting alumni growth, it serves as an important bridge for Guanghua graduates across the East Coast, including New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C. Over the years, we have regularly hosted high-quality events on career development, macroeconomic analysis, and entrepreneurship, building a deeper channel for exchange across academia, industry, and public affairs.

A Special Lecture by Prof. Zhou Li-An: The Administrative Subcontract and the Historical Code of China's Great Unification

On May 2, 2026 (online), the Peking University Guanghua School of Management Alumni Association of Eastern America and the Qishi Career Development Club co-hosted a special lecture by Professor Zhou Li-An. Prof. Zhou is a Professor at the Peking University Guanghua School of Management, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management at Peking University, Boya Chair Professor, and a Ministry of Education "Changjiang Scholar," holding a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University. A leading scholar in political economy and economic transition, he developed influential theories including the "Administrative Subcontract" and the "Political Tournament." Drawing on his research, the lecture examined the continuity of Chinese governance and the historical logic of the Great Unification through the lens of institutions and incentives.
