Clinical Observations and Treatment Progress
Dr. Han opened with the outbreak timeline in China, common symptoms, and prevention advice, drawing on frontline anti-epidemic experience.
Dr. Chen explained transmission, the possibility of recurrent outbreaks, the meaning of nucleic acid and antibody diagnostics, and the limits of current antiviral research.
Both speakers noted that different trial outcomes often reflect different endpoint settings and that careful prevention remains essential.
Reopening and Prevention Advice
As New York State prepared to reopen, the speakers recommended masking on public transit, frequent handwashing, and avoiding crowded meals.
